Nicolas Walewski is the Managing Director of Alken AM which he founded in July 2005. Previously, Nicolas was the fund manager of the Oyster European Opportunities Fund at Banque Syz in London from 1999 to 2005. The Fund outperformed the STOXX 600 by an annualised average rate of 7.3% whilst under his management (from 1 June 1999 to the 30 September 2005). Nicolas began his investment career in 1993 with Credit Lyonnais in Paris as a currency options Portfolio Managers and then in Frankfurt as an index options Portfolio Managers. Subsequently, he was a buy-side analyst specialising in media and information technology across Europe and a fund manager responsible for the European equities portfolios with Eur1.2bn assets under management.
Nicolas graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, and holds a Master’s degree from ENSAE (National College of Statistics and Economics).

Antony Vallee joined Alken in May 2018 as Head of Fixed Income.
Previously, Antony was a Managing Director and head of the Convertible Bond and Capital Structure group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, based in London. Managing a range of convertibles and income products he was also the manager of the JPM Global Convertible Bond Fund. Prior to this, Antony was head of convertible arbitrage and equity linked strategies at Systeia Capital, overseeing investments in equities, convertibles and credit derivatives. He began his career 4 years before, in 1998, at CCF Capital Management (HSBC Asset Management) as a fixed income and convertible bond portfolio manager.
Antony obtained a MSc. in Financial Engineering from the HEC School of Management at the University of Montreal, and graduate and post-graduate degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of Lyon.

Director of Finance and Operations
Alexis Tsatsaris joined Alken Asset Management in 2010 as Director of Finance and Operations. Alexis is responsible for all of Alken AM’s finance and operation functions, as well as Alken AM’s risk management.
Prior to joining Alken, Alexis worked for Deutsche Asset Management in France, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG, where he held various positions before being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Deutsche Asset Management, he headed the operations team of Gestion Prive Worms in Paris.
Alexis has 20 years of industry experience.

Jean-Baptiste de Seguier

Jean-Baptiste de Séguier joined Alken Asset Management (“Alken”) in February 2011 to further develop its private clients business which offers Alken’s investment expertise to high net worth individuals through segregated accounts.
Prior to joining Alken, Jean-Baptiste worked from 1997 to 2000 for the Private Client Services of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, a US leading investment bank and from 2000 to 2010 for Credit Suisse Private Client Services. Prior to joining Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Jean-Baptiste worked for 3 years at Bank of America in London where he was a fixed-income salesperson covering institutional clients.
Jean-Baptiste graduated from Institut Supérieur de Gestion, a French Business School based in Paris.
